Join the featured artists as they paint with local students from Gulf and Franklin County schools. The event will take place at the Lighthouse area on St. George Island. Each artist will work one-on-one with a student to paint their own plein air piece from 10am to 1pm. The students will sign their paintings and volunteers will help frame them onsite. Artists, students, teachers and volunteers gather at noon for lunch to celebrate the day's accomplishments. The student paintings will then be taken to hang at the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce, 17 Avenue E in Apalachicola. The hours are Thursday and Friday, March 21st and 22nd from 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00am-3:00pm. If you miss Student Art Day, be sure to go by and see their paintings.
