Join artist Cindy Briggs in a one day workshop in Port St. Joe entitled “Poetic Watercolors.” Compose a scene like a poet as you capture the spirit of place with luminous, mingling watercolors.

We’ll begin with a quick sketch session to ease into the rhythm of drawing and painting more intuitively. Through demonstration and guided exploration, you’ll discover a relaxing and rewarding approach to watercolor journaling—ideal for observing your surroundings, connecting with the moment, and expressing your impression of the subject.

Then we'll explore creating a plein air painting—shaping your design, choosing harmonious colors, capturing magical light, and painting with a graceful balance of spontaneity and intention.

At the end of the day, we’ll gather and share—celebrating each artist’s unique visual story.

Meet Cindy at The Joe Center for the Arts, located at 201 Reid Avenue in Port St. Joe. This is a plein air workshop so you will go to the painting location after meeting at the Joe. The workshop is scheduled for Friday, March 20, starting at 9 am and ending at 4:00 pm with a lunch break. Cost is $120 per person - please register online. Bring a sack lunch or plan to lunch at one of the great cafes in Port St. Joe. Limited to 15 students.
